The straight panel is only transversely spliced, the length direction is the whole material, and the finger joint board is a small piece of paper like a brick to form a large board. If the straight timber is good, of course, it is not bad, but the overall utilization rate of the wood is low, and the straight timber will be better than the finger jointed timber in appearance.
The messiness of the finger joint plate is not good-looking, and the mechanical properties are not as good as the straight spelling, but it is possible that the deformation will be smaller.
These two boards are no problem for cabinet side panels, but they should be painted beforehand or afterwards.
In fact, in general, the strength of good finger-jointed wood is not inferior to that of straight wood, and the stress of wood is small, not easy to deform and bend, if after material selection, some defects of straight wood, such as dead knots, scars, spots, etc., finger-jointed wood can be directly avoided, of course, this is under the premise of doing a good job in finger-jointed wood technology.
